DraftKings Cash Game Thoughts Week 10

Jon Kelly

QB:

$7.3K Lamar Jackson @ Cincinnati Bengals – Primary Option

On another week with very little spend down plays at the QB position, Lamar Jackson projects to have one of the highest floors and ceilings of the week. The Ravens are tied for the second highest team total on the slate and the Bengals have given up the sixth most fantasy points to the QB position this year. Jackson has rushed for 60 or more yards in each of his last five games and is worth paying all the way up for this week.

$6.8K Jameis Winston vs Arizona Cardinals – Secondary Option

I strongly prefer Lamar Jackson at the position but if you absolutely need to save the $500 then I would drop to Winston here. Winston has thrown for over 300 yards in five of his last six games. He now gets an up-tempo matchup at home against the Arizona Cardinals who are dead last in fantasy points allowed to the QB position this season. The Bucs are also tied with the Ravens for the second highest team total of the week.

RB:

$10.5K Christian McCaffrey @ Green Bay Packers – Primary Option

If I need to tell you why you should be locking in CMC every single week then maybe you shouldn’t be playing NFL DFS. McCaffrey is having a historical season in terms of fantasy production and even at an elevated price tag, he remains a good value. He has scored 30 or more Draftkings points in six of his eight games this season. Not like the matchup even matters for CMC but the Packers have been leaky against the run as they have allowed the sixth most fantasy points to the position. I’m starting every lineup with CMC this week and every week.

$4.3K Ronald Jones vs Arizona Cardinals – Secondary Option

In order to fit in all of the expensive guys that we want to play, we need to identify the salary savers that can provide salary relief without taking on too much risk. Ronald Jones is simply too cheap in this matchup. He is a home favorite with a high team total and despite the favorable situation, I doubt he will be very popular. Arians has been teasing getting Jones more involved the last few weeks but finally put his money where his mouth is. Arians finally named Jones the starter moving forward and Jones proceeded to have one of his best games this season with a season high snap count and 18 carries. Peyton Barber saw season-lows in snaps at only 13.9%. Jones has a safe floor considering the role change and has a reasonable ceiling as well in this spot.

WR:

$8.3K Michael Thomas vs Atlanta Falcons – Primary Option

Michael Thomas has been the most consistent WRs in fantasy this season and arguably the most consistent player overall. He has had at least eight catches for 89 yards or more in all but one game this season despite losing Drew Brees for the half the year. The Saints are now coming off a bye week and have the highest implied team total against the Falcons who have given up the third most fantasy points to WRs this season. I know he is expensive but we do have some good value this week where it makes sense to get up to MT in this spot.

$5.2K DJ Moore @ Green Bay Packers – Secondary Option

DJ Moore is coming off the big game last week where he went over 100 yards receiving and they only increased his price by $400. He has 37 targets over the last four weeks and provides a safe floor in the mid-range of salary this week. Green Bay has been pretty solid against WRs this season but that should affect Curtis Samuel more so than DJ Moore. Moore should continue to be a high-floor value play especially at his current price tag.

TE:

$3.1K Mike Gesicki @ Indianapolis Colts – Primary Option

Week 10, 2019 will forever be known as the “Mike Gesicki” week. It seems as though Gesicki is finally being unleashed as one of the primary receiving options for the Miami Dolphins. He is coming off a 95 receiving yards game last week and now the Dolphins will be without Preston Williams and Mark Walton. With the increase in target share along with a favorable matchup against the Colts, Gesicki is too cheap this week for the type of upside he has.

$5.5K Austin Hooper @ New Orleans Saints – Secondary Option

If you do have the salary to make it happen then Hooper is one of my favorite TEs this week. The position is always pretty ugly but Hooper has been a diamond in the rough this season in terms of fantasy production. He has five or more targets in every game this season and will be playing in the highest over/under on the slate.

D/ST:

3.7K New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons – Primary Option

I rarely make it a point to pay up at the defense position but I will be getting some exposure this week to the Saints D/ST. They have 14 sacks over their last four games and now get what is likely the best matchup in the NFL as the Falcons offensive line has been in shambles all season. Coming off a bye and playing in the Superdome, I expect this defense to score well this week.

2.5K Cleveland Browns vs Buffalo Bills – Secondary Option

If you’re looking for more of a cheaper play then the Browns would be the team for me. They are a home favorite at a cheap price tag and the matchup is favorable against Josh Allen and the Bills. You don’t need much for them at their price so they are likely the team I’ll be going with in cash games.
