Decision Points

Week 7:

Josh Allen (6,500) or Matt Ryan (6,300) in Cash Games

Allen has the second highest team total on the featured slate, Ryan has eclipsed 300 yards passing in every game this season. I tend to lean Allen here due to his rushing equity, but he is usually a lot cheaper, paying 6,500 for him is little steep. Ryan has positive game script at home in the highest totaled game on the slate and has crushed in Dirk Kotter's offensive system, but the Rams are adding Jalen Ramsey to the mix. My personal lean in cash as of Thursday morning is Ryan.

Saquan Barkley (8,900) or Dalvin Cook (8,000) in Cash Games

Saquan is priced up at 8,900 but his usage in a pace up spot should not be ignored. The Cardinals have struggled versus running backs all season, and I don't think that will change much versus one of the two top running backs in the NFL at home with positive game script. Dalvin Cook for 900 less has also seen extreme usage this season, but Detroit with Snacks Harrison leading the way has been extremely formidable against the run. Right now the Cash Game lean for me is likely Saquan unless we get word that the high ankle sprain should affect his playing time. I think Dalvin makes for a great tournament pivot in a dome. If you want to play both team jam them in is also always in play.

Should we play Allen Lazard (3,000) in both cash games and tournaments

This is a pretty simple decision for me if Geronimo Allison and Davante Adams are both ruled out, if that is the case, Lazard becomes a free square in cash. I think a lot of people that are new to cash games make the mistake of not playing the "free square" in this case Allen would be a free square. Chalk wide receivers tend to have pretty high but rate in tournaments, so the opportunity to fade is always in play. If its a small 100 man I would likely just eat the chalk with Lazard. If your mass multi-entering in a tournament with a couple thousand entries I think you can be with the field. I don't know if i would be on board with a full fade given the state of the packers receiving core.
